Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast was founded in 1969 as a non-profit organization with the purpose of forming meaningful mentoring relationships with caring adults and youth in Humboldt County. Today BBBSNC is the premier mentoring organization providing professionally supported one-on-one mentoring. Studies show children who have the support and friendship of an adult role model are more likely to stay in school, have better relationships and higher self esteem. And we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed.
